The very pleasant company up at http://lifeattheendoftheroad.wordpress.com
Has set the start clock back an hour or two.. headed for the ferry at 10 o’clock instead of 8… ha hahaha. . Well worth the lie in… thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and evening. .
I also spotted as I drove the “old girl” she adorns the mark of the Republic
The traffic on the way down to the ferry was absolutely horrendous. .
This traffic jam took ages clear!!
Spot on 9:55 the MY Hallaig set sail and it was goodbye to the crofting island of Raasay
Now, because of the lateness of my departure and the fact that nan had been fed watered and wee’d, the plan was straight down to the great Glen and stop to cook lunch
This Was just a small stop to take snapshot, my plan was, for those of you who know where it is, take the turning Down Glen etive. .. find a spot and cook lunch, not to mention give nan a walk and a drink.
Spot found…. dog walked and piri piri chicken stir fry with wilted water cress and baby spinach leaves was the chef’y special today..
It was absolutely delicious. .
Job done. . Now the second leg up over Rannoch Moor
On to Calendar, Stirling, Edinburgh, onto the A68 then Down through Jedburgh and finally back to safe territory. . A territory that is according to today’s news “getting better mobile phone coverage” that’ll be good for us out bye folk. .
Although! She was in no posing fettle and just wanted a cuddle. .. of which she got plenty. ..
So that’s me, back… and back to the cloud factory tomorrow. .. wish I could just keep travelling.
More soon. . Keep ya hand on ya ha’penny….
