Bank holiday Monday came and went with nowt more than a whimper… The weather up here in the forest was pretty dull for the best part of the day. Didn’t stop me from doing the odd jobs though…
and as winter has finally buggered off, the first job on the list was change the wheels back to summertime trim.
these Hankook MT are just the business for the amount of snow we’ve had up here this winter. The trouble with this chunky, or any chunky tyre is road noise, so I’m glad to get them off and back into the shed if truth be known…
while all the wheels are off, the pads and discs had a check over. no problems with those, the wear is about 50% so good for a while longer. once the hub and studs had a touch of grease, on went the summer rubber
complete with a full set of new wheel nuts, the old ones being somewhat untidy due to their chrome covers being damaged.
that done then out came the polish, a highly unusual occurrence on my part, as I believe cars are for driving not rubbing away like a stain on a worktop!!!
but having said that, it has made the bus sparkle.. ready for her trip norf…
come around lunchtime, my nephew arrived for a visit to uncle Gruffalo’s house. the main reason for this was to feed the lambs.
he can come again!! in fact can he stop! with much enthusiasm he fed the little darlings then wanted to feed them again!!!!
after his departure, this hen feeder was made. if you travel around the countryside you may chance upon the odd blue barrel sitting in the woods. these are pheasant feeders used by the game keeper to feed his pheasants.
the feed goes in the barrel and is gravity fed into that spring thing, the hens then peck at the spring, releasing feed onto the ground for them to eat
just the ticket if you need to leave the feeding for a few days, that’s it Mr’s R put it where you want it!
