More sodding damage..

Been off here for a few days, in this enforced spell away from the blogging front, we have managed to go ten pin bowling, scout out some mole activity, organise an engineer for the turbine, split logs, have a bike ride, install cross links, damage the SAAB and have a meal out…

The ten pin bowling was for my MIL’s birthday!! When we asked her what she fancied doing for her birthday, that’s what she fancied, she’s 77!!! And she was by no means last… Put a couple of us young uns to shame…

After the snow the trapping front is a little slow, so the job in hand was to walk the six hundred plus acre’s and spot the new activity.
My trusty sidekick for company.. Just look at those butter wouldn’t melt eyes..

Bless her, she’s cast her coat and is feeling the cold. What she’s saying is.. “Dad I’m cold, can we go home yet”

Next was, get Mike from inherent energy to inspect and report on my storm damaged turbine.

This he did, a report has been sent to the loss adjuster and i await a reply.. Not going to hold my breath, they will probably turn around and say, sorry you’re not covered by acts of god. To which i will direct them to the Billy Connolly film http://www.bbc.co.uk/films/2003/08/01/the_man_who_sued_god_2003_review.shtml

Of course the never-ending task of logs seems to dominate at least one of my days of, this was no exception this time around..

Sure that bloody heap’s not getting any smaller…

We also had a small bike ride, it’s been ages since i was on a bike, only did a couple of mile,

One job that was at the top of my list, install all the cross links on my new battery’s. This is to try to balance the charge equally.
What you have is three banks of four twelve volts linked in series to make forty-eight volt. These are then linked in parallel to increase the amp hour capacity. But to balance the voltage and spread the charge, all terminals must be parallel linked..

Going to give them an equalise charge this weekend. The voltages seem to be within .1 so it seem to work. Oh that’s after I do the fuel filter on old blue..

Lastly… More damage… The state of the roads are getting past, beyond a joke for all of us. Where does our road tax money go to.. Not the feckin tarmac they use on patching that’s for sure. Hell, the road gangs must all be post grad doctors or lawyers coz none of them now how to fix a pothole!!!

This belter has caused a broken spring on the saab..

More bloody expense, the council should pay for the repair. It’s not going to happen tho, there’s no way that shower of sh1ts will accept the blame for poor maintenance of the roads. My hat will be grilled and served up with a fresh leaf salad and vinaigrette dressing if they do!!!
