Bwahhh frosty…..

Not much to report at the moment, the only good thing is, my new set of battery’s have had there first full charge cycle today.

We have had very little wind since the repair job “bitsa” turbine.
Even so, the little bit that we had produced a good input.
The solar array is also working much better since reconfiguring the settings. So far they have produced around 100kwh from grey days. Oh except Tuesday afternoon, the sun came out at midday to produce 24kwh in 4 hrs…result…
Also, found out that the max charge on the inverter is set in ac amps. That means the 17.5amps AC equates to around 70amps DC, More than enough to charge the 690ah battery bank. The absorption time has been doubled to four hours. I may put this out to six hours if the charge is to hold.
Monday, took ourselves off to the pictures, I promised myself before Christmas that the hobbit was on my must see list, It’s very good.
Tuesday, was a day of trapping and log splitting in the snow, with no wind what so ever, the light snow just gently falling to earth.

Wednesday… Another day of trapping, log splitting and checking settings.
But today, the camera was to hand on what was a hard frosty day.

The haw frost on these rushes would have been good in macro for that close up.

And what in interesting sky with the low sun early on.
The locals looked on with a forlorn hope that i had some food about my person.

The journey back, the republic is visible against the darker sky. The smoke from the woodburner going straight up like a signal fire.
