Bit of a coup

Wednesday was the first of my three days off, decided to go get some oil for the various mechanical gubbins we have around here. Myself and mrs republic took ourselves in to town, managed to find 25ltrs of multi everything, petrol,  diesel, turbo,  you name it, it does.

Aftr that we took a spur of the moment thing and decided to go further affield. Ended up in the metro centre looking for furnishings for the off shot, grabbed a delicious burger from the handmade burger company for
lunch, filled the car with go go juice then headed back.
The journey back was a touch dice’y, the heavy rain that was hitting the area made the roads some what flooded. As we neared the homeward strech stretch i said “look white clouds over us” and as we got within a couple of miles from home, the rain had stopped” the roads dried and there was a hint of blue sky.
This was the coup as normaly tis the reverse of this scenario up here in the hills. Would you believe the deluge hit every where around us localy and we had nought, zilch, nadda, nowt…

Busy old day…
Took the bull by the horns today, …well should i say sheep, it was the day of reckoning for the tup lambs today…makes my eyes water as i tell you, the young boys had there manhood curtailed this morning. The whole flock of fifty soay sheep got wormed, pedicured and some had a helping hand with casting there fleece. (for those who dont know, a soay sheep casts its fleece, no need for shearing). We do have on ex pet lamb, a black face ewe whom is clipped every year by hand. She actually enjoys it and just stands there untill her fleece is off.

Back in to town again, this time killing two birds with one proverbial stone.
Stone being the appropriate word as we needed some river washed cobbles, pebbles and stone for the hard landscaping better half has been making. Also needed to order a new copper cylinder as ours has started to weep again. This time it gets replaced not soldered.

More important job awaited my return though, the log shed needs re stocking, so after a quick water proofing task it was on to cutting
